Big Comedy Hammersmith with Prince Abdi

If you want a great night out seeing the best alternative comedy in an intimate venue then Big Comedy Hammersmith at The Distillers is the place for you!

A new and exciting monthly night of stand-up brought to you by lovers of great comedy and featuring some of the funniest comedians around.

Doors open 7.15 show starts 7.30. You can get food and drink at the venue and bring it into the show.

This month we have a stellar lineup of comics including our headliner – the fantastic British-Somali comedian, actor and writer PRINCE ABDI!

Internationally renowned comedian Prince Abdi brings you feel-good gags and laugh-out-loud storytelling which has made him one of the circuits defining voices! Prince draws on his migrant background to create a unique style of storytelling and comedy, with incredible impressions and characters. His TV credits include Comedy Central’s The World Stands Up, BBC Three’s Laughter Shock, ITV’s FHM Stand Up Hero, BBC’s The Wall, Channel 4’s Channel 4 Presents, BBC’s Diary of a Bad Man and HBO. He has also worked and toured with Michael Macintyre, Jack Whitehall, Trevor Noah Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jeff Ross and Louis CK.

Dragoș Moștenescu

Dragoș is one of Romania’s most beloved actors and comedians. Best known for his iconic portrayal of Costel Jurca in the hit Romanian sitcom "La Bloc", which became a cultural phenomenon and a ratings powerhouse. After a stellar career in Romania, Dragoș took his talents abroad, relocating to the United Kingdom to continue evolving as an artist. Dragoș continues to captivate audiences with his charm, wit, and incredible talent, making him a standout figure in the world of comedy and acting.

Becky Mathieson

East Anglian newcomer making waves in the comedy scene. She's supported Phil Ellis and Isaac HP, and was a semi-finalist in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards 2025

Madeleine Brettingham

A fantastic standup and distinguished comedy writer with a rich portfolio spanning television, radio, and print. Her notable contributions include writing for acclaimed shows such as "That Mitchell and Webb Look". Beyond scriptwriting and standup, She was a finalist in the Funny Women Awards and recently won the 2025 So You Think You’re Funny.

Dave McDonnell

An NYC comic now based in London. He started the Blind Comedy Auction showcase in NYC, a monthly charity show, and has performed at Zoofest/Off-JFL in Montreal.
