TweetIf you want a great night out seeing the best alternative comedy in an intimate venue then Big Comedy Hammersmith at The Distillers is the place for you!
A new and exciting monthly night of stand-up brought to you by lovers of great comedy and featuring some of the funniest comedians around.
Doors open 7.15 show starts 7.30. You can get food and drink at the venue and bring it into the show.
This month we have a stellar lineup of comics including our headliner - the controversial Scottish comedian LEO KEARSE!
Leo’s unapologetically bold style - tackling everything from culture wars and cancel culture to free speech – has made him a household name in the UK. And his sharp wit and provocative humour make every live show feel like a cultural event.
Crowned Scottish Comedian of the Year, winner of the UK Pun Championship, GB News star and writer for top BBC shows like Mock The Week, Breaking the News, and The Mash Report. Leo doesn’t just tell jokes - he starts conversations.
"Genuinely thought-provoking...hugely entertaining” ★★★★ THE SCOTSMAN
“A triumphant hour of outrageous and dark jokes, not pushing but gleefully running straight through the boundaries of taste and acceptability in today's "woke" culture” - BRITISH COMEDY GUIDE RECOMMENDED SHOW
"A giant of the art" - STEVE BENNETT, CHORTLE
"Very funny, very dirty, occasionally shocking, but edgily likeable and happily endearing, eliciting the guilty pleasure of laughter from a wide-eyed audience" - ★★★★ THE LIST
Supporting Leo are 5 fantastic comics, and our awesome guest host Jacob Hatton!
Hannah Lloyd-Davies - a high energy, high gag rate comic, with memorable routines that leave audiences in hysterics. Her comedy is a tonic for anyone feeling behind in life.
Andy Zapp - pensioner-cum-comedian and a regular on the London comedy circuit. Andy has built up a rep for his madcap adult humour delivered via audacious double-entendres with the odd blues harmonica riff in between.
Gareth Ball - office worker by day, high energy, topical South African comedian by night!
Kirk Fontaine - a performer of inventive musical comedy and stand up, gleefully entertaining audiences with a fun mixture of smart and silly material. He performs regularly at comedy clubs up and down the country and his written work has appeared on BBC Radio 4. “Incredibly talented” - Northamptonshire Telegraph
Dipak Patel - from corner shop kid, to failed filmmaker, to a skater-dad who can’t skate. Dipak is culturally-confused, over-caffeinated, and eager to overshare.
“A disappointment to the entire family” – Dipak’s dad
Jacob Hatton - Jacob made a significant mark in the comedy scene by winning the Daily Telegraph's Best Jokes of the Fringe in 2023. This accolade is a testament to his sharp wit and unique comedic voice, distinguishing him among his peers. Jacob's humour resonates with audiences, blending clever wordplay with observational insights, making him a standout performer in the industry.
And for all you budding popstars - after the comedy finishes The Distillers has a karaoke night downstairs!
