Stand up comedian, Anuvab Pal, has been described by The New York Times as “India’s most intelligent comedian”.
The BBC calls him “India’s answer to British wit”.

His stand up comedy special, The Nation Wants To Know, has played hundreds of sold out shows from Mumbai to Sydney to San Francisco. His previous show, Empire, a comedy show based on the history of the British Empire in India, played in 12 cities worldwide and had a successful run twice at the Soho Theatre and Edinburgh Festival.

Anuvab’s TV appearances include the BBC’s ‘Big Asian Stand Up Show’ (BBC2), and QI (BBC2) and he has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The News Quiz’ and the BBC World Service’s The New Year International Comedy Show. 
He also co-hosts the popular podcast Our Last Week.
