Stand and Deliver's June comedy showcase made for a brilliant night out for myself and a work colleague. Having seen many comedy shows such as tours, work-in-progress and similar showcase nights like this, I never know what to expect from a new one, but we both came away thoroughly impressed by the variety of acts, the welcoming and lively atmosphere throughout the venue, the ideal comfy seating in the cinema screen and our whole experience overall. By far the highlight for me was Abbie Edwards (not one of the headline acts), whose take on growing up in religious school and its after-effects kept me in stitches tonight - a real breath of fresh air and an act to watch, definitely! That said, all 4 acts had a host of original jokes and numerous hilarious highlights to offer, so well done to everyone involved. Thanks again to all of the staff, comedians and other folks responsible for making this excellent evening happen - we've every intent of coming back for more!

We laughed from start to finish, which I don't think I've ever done at a standup show. We had a great evening out.
