AIDEEN MCQUEEN
Aideen McQueen is one of Ireland’s top female stand ups, having reached the final of the “funny Funny” comedy competition after just her third gig she started to gig all over Ireland in clubs such as the International and The Laughter Lounge.
McQueen is a bright spark in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny.
Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.
“One of comedy’s undiscovered talents” – Hot Press.
“Aideen is such a strong act….she can open a gig, close it, compere it and, if necessary, pull out a guitar and do sing-songs afterwards.” – Des Bishop.
”Just so funny.” – Irish Times.
“Plays brilliantly with the crowd.” – Irish Independent.
“Best young comic I’ve seen in ages.” – Arthur Smith.
ANN HIRST
Ann is one of the best up and coming acts of the East Anglian circuit, multi talented performer, self aware and quick witted. Ann is unashamed of her working class roots but is very aware she has landed firmly in the middle class camp.
MARTIN WESTGATE (mc)
An accomplished MC and performer Martin is making waves in the comedy scene gigging for some of the most recognised promoters in the country.
Martin approaches gigs the way he approaches most things in his life, wittily, with jokes and quickly. He brilliantly rinsed David Walliams on Britain’s Got Talent, and is more than capable of stepping away from the jokes and dealing with the audience when needed. Proud Norfolk boy flying the flag for Nelson’s County, even in strong winds (well he’s got the grip strength).
Martin is one of the 'go to' acts in Norfolk, an accomplished MC and is resident MC of Norfolk based Hooma Comedy Club. He has written and performed stand up sets and sketches for the BBC New Comedy Show, hosted the Sense of Hooma Podcast; and the online show 'Sunday Roast'. supporting Gary Meikle and Carl Hutchinson on their Norwich legs of their tours.

Had a great night! Mrs Smith was just as funny in person and I couldn't stop laughing.

A great night out for us teachers and the tickets were reasonably priced. We liked the quirky venue (we live locally, but had never heard of the Bowling House before). It is a shame we had quite loud traffic noise (Police / Ambulance sirens) at times during the show. We arrived in plenty of time for the second show, but had to wait quite a long time before we could order any food. My friend had tried to book a table in advance online, but had found the process overly complicated (because there were so many different combinations of timings and types of booking) and had given up. Our server also took a drink order for a glass of wine, but the drink was never brought to our table and then they tried to charge me for it, so I had to explain I had never received it. The venue’s food and drink prices were not as reasonable as the gig tickets.
