TweetJoin us in celebrating one of the greatest sitcoms ever made, as we welcome renowned stand-up Joe Rooney for a night of all things Father Ted!
Joe featured as the rebellious Father Damo in the classic Father Ted episode The Old Grey Whistle Theft, leading Dougal astray with his earring, cigarette smoking and bad-boy attitude.
Joe will host a screening of the episode, take you behind the scenes and set you a Craggy Island quiz–then prepare yourself for an all-inclusive ‘Lovely Girls Competition’ have you got the loveliest laugh, the loveliest walk, and can you make the loveliest sandwich?
There will also be a dancing priests competition, plus appearances from a nursery-rhyme singing Ziggy Stardust, Nirvana, Johnny Cash and many more – and the evening wouldn’t be complete without a sing-along to ‘My Lovely Horse’!
Come and meet Joe and immerse yourself in the very silly delights of Father Ted.
Ah, go on...you will! “
A purveyor of choice gags, a natural storyteller, guitar in hand, Joe Rooney delights the room with his infectiously manic delivery.” - Ardal O’Hanlon

Comedians were fab! Some better than others but fab! Audience a bit shit but they made it work! Shame about the hole in the ceiling.

Very pleasantly surprised! Booked randomly as we were eating close by and were celebrating a birthday so we searched for evening entertainment and this popped up. To be honest the ticket system was a bit confusing as it asks for a suggested price rather than ticket price so we put in a small amount first to trial it and got two tickets at a very cheap price. This made us wonder what the quality of the event would be but we turned up and actually found it to be really funny and a great ending to our evening! Liked all the comedians bar one who just wasn’t our cup of tea, but everyone else was great and we especially loved Martin the host! Interacted brilliantly with the audience and was very quick witted. Hopefully they keep doing well and can perform in nicer venues- the sound downstairs was distracting at times and the bar was shared with the other people using the venue. Would highly recommend

Good compère, good atmosphere and worth a few quid on tickets. Would try another one based on this for sure.
