Rodney: Fear of Failure

Copy event details

Fear of failure is a one-man stand-up comedy show from the wickedly funny comedian Rodney Beckford. The show centres on some of his more momentous mistakes, miss steps, errors and short comings. Through personal story telling, anecdotes and out an out joke telling. There’s plenty of ground to cover and lots of people, groups and institutions to poke fun at. From his beginnings and childhood in the midlands, he guides us through his adult working life to date and offers up a number of takeaways we might all learn from.

It’s simple, straight forward, engaging, entertaining and as you would expect from a stand-up comedian very funny. Everything from saying the wrong thing, doing the wrong thing and misunderstanding what was intended. To always seeing the funny no matter how bad things get.

Leslie H reviewed Olga Koch: Just Friends (Work in Progress) which happened on 8:45pm on Wed 15th Jun 2022.

Olga was Fantastic and £5 is a bargain. The Piper could be a great small venue for comedy but the chairs could be better and more thought to the atmosphere created.

Mark S reviewed Charlie Hopkinson: Deep (Work in Progress) which happened on 8:45pm on Wed 15th Jun 2022.

Venue was rubbish, the music was playing so loud upstairs you could not hear the gig very well! They either need to keep the volume down or don’t bother with it as a venue! Charlie was very good, and very interesting watching his work in progress. Such a shame I was the only audience member! And that is not a reflection in Charlie, probably just the venue!
